![(Committee 1) November 17th, 1929—November 15th, 1930 We have briefly summarized the work of this committee for the past year. There were 820 cases under our care: Of these 107 were unmarried; 126 deserted or separated; 585 married; 2 widows. Convalescent care was given to 110 patients; 121 children were placed temporarily; 60 women placed in homes after their discharge from hospital. Every effort is made to help the unmarried mother, often bringing her into contact with an organization that will continue to give advice and help over an indefinite period of time. Families are referred to various organizations where they are helped to maintain a satisfactory standard of living. Assistance is given to all patients, who apply, providing the case proves deserving. The cooperation of the following agencies has helped to greatly increase the efficiency of all work done by this committee. Heartsease Home Washington Square Home S.P. C.C.
