IT is notorious, that various diforders of the human frame are brought on by diffi* pation in youth, and the grofs violation ol thofe rules which prudence di61ar.es for the prefervation of health, and -aying a foundation for a long and happy life, with a firm and ftrongconftitution. Thfe bkJIingsof health are no fooner loft, than pasnful experience teaches the ineftimabie value of it, and the unhappy patient looks around, too often, alas 1 in vain, for the means of its recovery ! Do6lor Solomon, of Liverpool, recommends his CORDIAL BALM of GILEAD to all thofe whofo conftitutions have been impaired by early imprudence, and whofc nerves arc affiidled by incenfe ftudy, the too free ufe of ardent fpirirs, tea or coffee, ai well astoali perfous who are enervated by long refidence in hot and unhealthy cli¬ mates; in which cafes it will invariably prove of the moft fovereign efficacy, bracing the relaxed nerve?, {Lengthening and invigorating the conftitution. The various weakneffes peculiar to the fair fox come immediately under the power of this reftorative; and many ladies offafhion and refpedlability have found it to be the beft medical appendage to the toilet they ever met with; for recruiting the de¬ cayed fpirits, dlffipating the head-ach, dulnefs, and langour; and by creating a pleafing vivacity, chafing away melancholy, it gives comfort and ftrength to the whole fyftem. The train of melancholy diforders which affiidl the human frame, under the deno¬ mination of Nervous Difoafes, are the principal fources of human mifory in the priva¬ tion of health. Thefe diforders proceed from fuch an infinite variety and complica¬ tion of caufos, as to render it impoffible, if even it were always neceffarv, to trace them to their true fource. The effects, however, are but too well known, and too feverely felt amongft too great a portion of mankind; and to thefe eifefls it may without ex¬ aggeration be afferted, that any remedy more fnperior or celebrated for efficacy than DR. SOLOMON’S CORDIAL BALM OF GILEAD never has been discovered. Numerous cafes have from time to time been publiihed in every newfpaper in the kingdom, for the encouragement of the afflicted to ufe and perfevere in a median® which fo eminently affords a complete cure in all cafes of debility. An opinion prevails that ner vous dileafes are at prefent more common in Europe than at any former period, and is chiefly attributed to exeefs of indulgences practifed in thefe times of refinement and luxury. It is certainly true, that the farther we de¬ part from fimpiicity and temperance in diet, and the more wc facrifiee whoiefome exercifes to the inactivity attending domeftic amufements, the greater will be the in¬ fluence of every phyfical error,in dimmiftiing the vigour of the conftitution Difoafes of the nerves are incident to both foxes, with only thb difference, that, in the female, from t he natural delicacy of conftitution and the fatter manner of life, they are in gene¬ ral more frequent and violent than in the other. Weakrtefs of the nervous fyftem ar« often, alas! too often, occafioned by irregularities to one fex, and fonfual exceffes in the other. The moft common iymptom of this diieafs is a conftant dread of death, which pervades with Its baleful influence the whole nervous fyftem, writhing the heart with inexpredible anginfh, and exciting the moft dreadful luggeftions of horror and defpair! to this demon have thoul’ands fallen a facrifiee in rhe transports of its rage, and which renders thofe unhappy perfons who labour under it peevtfti, fickle, and impatient; apt to run from one Do6for to another; and tins is the fcafop why they fo feldom reap any benefit from medicine, as they have not fufficient refoiucion to pulift in anyone courfo till it has time to produce its proper eifebL This incomparable Cordial Balm of Gilead is at once the moft elegant and effica¬ cious medicine ever yet difeovered; in weak and fluttered conftitutions, wtaltnefi. of fight or memory, hypochondria, tremblings, horrors of the mind, foxual de; fifty, and all other difoafes arifing from a relaxed ftateof the nervous fyftem, and often the confequence of intemperance, debauchery, inattention to the neceifary cams of health, luxury, infedentary, inadtive, or ftudlouslife, this Cordial Balm has univerfaliy efta- bli&ed its reiterative etikacy, and may be juftly enumerated amongft the fore moft J, CUrVe, U»uietb»nlc, frock port, printer.
