The Kings Letter to the Keeper of the Privy Seal, directing Letters Patents to be made for John Davyson to have the custody of the Profits of all Mines of Gold and Silver in England as well as of all Lead Mines producing Gold and Silver. Latin. On vellum. 8 Edw. IV. 14. A Direction for Letters Patents to be drawn out, allowing John Messelden merchant, and Robert Messelden his son, “ by craft or “ science of Philosophic, unperfite metall to bringe and transpose u unto perfite metall” within the realme, “ prouided that without “ any craft of Nigromancy but oonly by playn science of Philoso- “ phie they shal make their operacion.” On vellum. “ In the “ yere of owe reigne xxx.” [Hen. VI.] 15. Direction for Letters Patents to be drawn between King Edward on ■ the one part and Thomas on the other, respecting the Coinage of Money in the Cities of “ Develyn and Waterford.” Dated 8 March “ the xxt/'th yere of oure Reigne.” [Qu. if Edw IV.] 16. VII. 17- A direction to the Treasurer, Barons, &c. of the Exchequer for the delivery of certain silver paid into that Court by Thomas Wyse (attorney of Henry late Cardinall of England) to William Marquis of Suffolk the Receiver of the Fifteenth of Gold, Silver, &c. from the Mines within the Realme of England. The Kings Letters to Sir Martin Bowes Knh and Ralf Rowlet, Mas- ters of the Mynte, directing the Sum of £ 2000 to be “ printed into Money called Harpes.” 25 Jan. 33 Hen. VIII. An imitation of the Kings Signature appears stamped at the top from a wooden block.
