Notes
The 'Physical dictionary (29 ll.) has separate t.p. with imprint G. Dawson for J. Garfield (Wing [2 ed.] P2143A). It appears to be an independent venture by Garfield, entered by him 12 Feb. 1657 (Stat. Reg ii. 112), and his preface refers to 'this dictionary ... which others would have depriv'd you of'; it seems to be based on the 'Physical dictionary' issued with Rivière's 'The practice of physick', 1655. In this copy it is bound between prelims. and text of Renou, with t.p. at end
With: A physical dictionary ... Published for the more perfect understanding of Mr. Tomlinson's translation of Rhaenodaeus Dispensatory.
Copy 1 Note: Engr. t.p. and last three leaves of Renou (including title-label) wanting. Issued with A physical dictionary ... Published for the more perfect understanding of Mr. Tomlinson's translation of Rhaenodaeus Dispensatory.
