Herttage), ' a Thethorne, rampnus :' and Bart. p. 36, ' Rampnus . . . i. thelhome.' In a MS. at Lincoln College, Oxford, No. 57, p. 90 verso, is a gloss,' Rampniis, thewethom.' Possibly the name of Fea-herry for the gooseberry may be con- nected. Compare the names Feaberry, Feabes, Thebes, Thapes (Nemnich). ^ ' Matth.
