Of courfe all the pulfes in column thefourth mufl be under- ftood to refer to the morning pulfe. To accommodate thefe to the mean pulfes during the day, 1 have added the fifth column, which is founded on a table of Dr. Robinfon’s, inferred in a fubfequent part of this work, which table contains an account of the variation of the pulfe in two perfons, taken for each hour in the day, from eight in the morning until eleven at night, both inclufive ; and con- tinued every day for feveral weeks. The mean number of the pulfes, during the day, of the two perfons fo examined, (and the pulfes in each perfon vary but little from one another)
