A diminishing incidence of Tuberculosis is one of the main reasons for this decision. Routine X-raying of factories has already ceased and in future return visits will only be undertaken if there has been discovered an active case of Pulmonary Tuberculosis and it is considered impractic- able to X-ray the contacts in the Hospital Department. The X-raying of doctors’ referrals and Chest Clinic contacts will be undertaken by the Hospital.
