O R the Benefit of Mankind in gene¬ ra], I have taken Pains to give the World an Account of what I have found written in the Works of the moft eminent Thyficians, concerning the Good that Mankind may receive from the Ufe of Common Water; and of the Informa¬ tions I have had concerning the Benefits thereof from others by Word of Mouth ; and of what I have dif- covered by my own Experience, from frequent Trials* during a Time that hath interveened from that of ‘Thir¬ ty to Seventy four Tears of Age Which is fufficient to confirm the ftupendious EfFeds thereof; efpecially in the many Particulars that fhall be mentioned as my own Difcovery with refped to this excellent Remedy* which will perform Cures with very little Trouble* and without any*Charge* and is alfo to be had wher¬ ever there are anyHabitations*which can hardly be faid of any other: So that in fome Senfe Water may be tru¬ ly ftiled* An Univerfal Remedy, fince the Difeafes it either prevents or cures may have this Remedy appli¬ ed to all Perfcns* and in all Places where Men inhabit.
