There is need for further centres in other areas and it is hojied to extend the number in 1950. 1 wish to pay tribute to the work of aH the voluntary committees undertaking the adminis¬ tration of Child Welfare Centres and to the helpers who give unstinted service. Without their help it would be difficult, if not impossible to parry on the centres in the rural areas. Statistics for all centres for 1949 are:— Sessions held. New cases.
