Today I send you the scientific program of the EMBO-Symposium on Structure and Function of Ribosomes to be held at Kitzbühel/Austria from September 17 to 19, 1968. In case that changes in this preliminary program should become necessary you will get the final program immediately after your arrival at Kitzbühel. The time for each presentation (including discussion) will be 30 minutes As mentioned earlier there will be no abstracts or publication of the contributions presented on this informal meeting. Please, use slides of the size 5x5 cm ( = 2x2 inches). If you have to use slides of other sizes, please, let me know this at your earliest convenience. Double bed rooms have been reserved in Hotel Lebenberg for those participants who have written me that they will be accompanied by members of their family. The other participants will get single rooms Details of the Ladies Program will be available at the day of arrival. During the meeting there will be a secretary (Mrs. Rudolph) who will refund the travel expenses and will be glad to help you if necessary. In case you need the money for travelling before the meeting, please, let me know. I shall send it to you immediately. Please, make your own travel arrangements. Participants coming by air planes are asked to let me know the time of arrival at München or Salzburg. Direct transportation will be arranged from both air ports to Kitzbühel. Details (time of departure etc. ) will be announced as soon as we know the time of arrival of the participants at the air ports.
