About this work

Description

Glioblastoma cell that has been transfected with a mutated P10 gene. This produces a catalytically inactive P10 protein which reduces the cell's ability to take up particles by endocytosis. Nuclei are stained blue with DAPI and the transfected cell is full of Green Fluorescent Protein. The red spots are 0.02micron fluorescent spheres used to observe the process of endocytosis. It is clear that more of these spheres have been taken up by the untransfected cells than by the transfected one.
