![parts of sugar of milk or spirits of wine.] We are now coming to very small doses—doses that are in the vast majority of cases powerless for good or evil, I am not, however, prepared to say, that a thousandth part of a grain of a very active medicine, may not exert a sensible effect if given frequently, and homceopathists sometimes repeat their doses in quick succession—every hour or even quarter of an hour. It would be easy to administer Strychnia, Arsenic, Red Oxide of Mercury, or any other equally powerful drug in the B. degree so as to bring the system under medicinal influence. Five grains of the B. triturations of one of these, or five drops of the corresponding tincture, would contain a two-hundredth of a grain of pure medicine, and if this quantity were repeated twelve times, the usual full dose would be attained. Examples:— No. 13. [Tincture of Bryonia B- - - 6 drops. Pure water 4 ounces. A dessert spoonful every four hours.]](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b22319323_0033.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
