The ftudious enquirer will be moit {erioufly difappointed if he expects to find in thefe pages a literal imitation and repetition of Grpson’s anatomical f{tructure, with the iden- tical plates and correfponding references, or a dangerous combination of deftructive articles beterogeneoufly blended and cruelly applied. Saying thus much to corroborate the intent and meaning of our own work, it becomes immediately applicable to repeat our affertions refpecting the danger of others ; particularly in thofe truly Wah dev ful prefcriptive parts, fo #0- deftly affirmed to be the conjunctive efforts of learned phyfictans, fiudious anatomifts, and pro- ficients in furgery.
