This edition is very scarce, and contains likewise the fables of Avian, Alphonsus, and Poggius, and consists of 142 folios, with paging-figures and signatures. In the first part, which comprises the fables of iEsop, is a wood-cut, represent¬ ing AiSop. Brunet, t. i. p. 23. -fob-Neither date nor place. “ Here begynneth the prologue of the first booke of Esop.” Idle Colophon : “ Emprented by me Ivichard Pynson.” On the last leaf is his mark or cypher by itself. I'his book was in the collection of the late John Ilatclifie, Esq. and evidently was printed from Caxton’s edition in 1484, but wants the whole of iEsop’s life. It contains signatures G in octaves.
