Warrant from Charles I. to William [Eeilding], Earl of Denbigh, Master of the Great Wardrobe, for the delivery to Sir William Segar, Garter King of Arms, for the King’s “ installment ” in August, of “ one Helmet of Steele wrought with burnisht gold, a close crowne with the creast of the Lyon to stand thereon. Mantles of cloth of Tyssue lyned with cloth of sylver spotted Ermyn, one swoorde, the Hylte & Chape guylte, the scabberd & girdle cloth of gold, a greate Banner of our armes embrodered, a cushion of Crymzon or purple veluet to beare our Eoabes vppon,” etc.; Hampton Court, 10 July, 1625.
