These cuts represent our patent knee-joints, having about three times the amount of bearing surface beyond those of ordinary construction. No. i is attached to the leg. No. 2 is held by the leather socket above the knee. No. 3 is a strong screw, for holding Nos. i and 2 together and forms the means of adjustment in case of wear. No. 4 is the set screw for preventing the large screw, No. 3 becoming loose. Fig. B is a sectional view of a medium sized joint. Patients who have worn legs with joints which become loose and noisy, will realize at once the great advantage of this perfect and adjustable joint.
