Five grs. of calomel were with great difficulty got down ; and an infufion of fena with manna being prepared, the perfon attending was de~ fired to eive a little and often, till fhe had a ftool. It was very improper that fhe fhould re^- main in the houle where fine was, on ac¬ count of the family j yet there was no poffibility of moving her in her prefent condition. Next morning I was informed fhe had remained in the fame ftupid way the whole night, but was now rather bet¬ ter, and had fpoke more fenfibly, had two ftools, and vomited up fome bilious mat-j ter. The heat was ftill great,, the pulfe quick, and many fmali confluent puftules were out in the face and other parts; this was the third day of her illnefs.
