Water Supply. The water supply of the District is drawn from deep wells situated at Easter- gate about tour and a half miles north of the town. It is sufficient in quantity and of a very high standard of purity. To meet the growing requirements of the district, the Water Company are laying another service main from the pumping station into the town. The supply is constant, and is supplied directly to all the houses in the town. A few houses have been discovered during the past five years to be still dependent for their water supply on shallow wells situated on the premises ; the water supply has been laid on to such premises and the wells closed.
