![Linimentum Olei Terebinthin^e. See Lininientuni Terebin- thinatum. Guy's H. Linimentum Plumbi et Albuminis. Schwartze. Fresh lin- seed oil ^viijj whites of 6 eggs, liquid diacetate of lead ^j. Linimentum Zingiberis. Dr. A. Turnbull. Prepare a strong essence of ginger, by percolation, or by digestion and expression, with two parts of rectified spirit to one of ginger; decolorize it with animal charcoal, and filter. To be rubbed for 5 or 10 minutes over the whole forehead, as a remedy for short- sightedness. [Some ointments have also been termed Lini- ments. See Unguenta.] Linteum. Lint. Charpie. It is made from linen rags carefully cleaned, and scraped with a knife, by means of a suitable appa- ratus. There are also several kinds of lint directly manufac- tured from linen or cotton. Linteum Nigrum. Mr. Higginbottom. Dissolve 3ij °f ni- trate of silver in f^iv of distilled water) saturate ^j. of fine lint with the solution, and expose it in a flat vessel to dry. Used in the treatment of old ulcers. [Fricke's Linteum In- ternals is made with a weaker solution, gr. x to f^j.] Liquor Acidi Arseniosi Hydrochloricus. See Liquor Arse- nici Ghloridi. Liquor Aconitin^;. Dr. F. W. Headland. (See p. 21.) Dis- solve aconitine, gr. j, in rectified spirit, ^j } add distilled water Jix. (Each fluid drachm contains y^th of a grain, and each drop F<jtfO Dose, internally, it}? v.—^xij. Liquor Anixii. Spirit of hartshorn saturated with sulphuric acid. Dose, 60 drops. Liquor Ammonije Citratis. L. Citric acid ^iij, distilled wa- ter Oj; dissolve, and add §iiss of sesquicarbonate of ammonia, or q. s. to neutralize it. Dose, fjiiss to fjiv. Liquor Ammonle Succinatus. See Liquor Cornu C. Succi- nates. Liquor Ammonle Tartratis. May be made with ^iij of tar- taric acid, Oj of water, and £\\\ or q. s. of sesquicarbonate of ammonia. Tartarized antimony 54 grains, distilled water Oj, dissolve, filter, and add f^vij of rec- tified spirit.
