![Tinctura Opii Aromatica. AlcooU d1 opium cinnamomi. Gui- bourt. Extract of opium 2 parts, rectified spirit 11 parts, cinnamon water 11 parts; dissolve, and filter. Tinctura Opii Eccardi. Eccard's, or Bamberg's Thebaic Tincture. Opium ^ij, cloves 3j, cinnamon water f^viij, rec- tified spirit :§iv. Digest in a warm room for six days, and strain. Tinctura Opii F(Etida. Elixir Fetida. Fulda Ph. Castor ^iv, assafcetida ^ij, salt of hartshorn %}, dry opium Jiv, rectified spirit (sp. gr. 850) ^xxxij (about Oij). Dose, trjjxv Tinctura Piperis. Black pepper ^j, rectified spirit ^vj. Tinctura Quin^! Composita. L. Disulphate of quina 9xvj, tincture of orange peel Oij. Digest for 7 days, or till dissolved, and filter. [The whole of the sulphate will scarcely dissolve, at least without the assistance of heat. f3j should contain gr. j of the sulphate.] Tinctura Quin^ Hydrocyanoferratis. Mr. Donovan. Fer- roprussiate of quinine gr. xxxij, rectified spirit f^j. Dose, f5j# Tinctura Seminis Colchici. See Tinct. Colchici. Tinctura Senn^e Aromatica. See Tinctura Khei et Sennas. Tinctura Spilanthi. Bruise the flowering herb {Para cress), and macerate it for some days with an equal weight of rectified spirit; then express, and filter. Sialagogue. Tinctura Sumbuli. There is no authorized formula. Dr. H. Lane directs ^v of the bruised root to be macerated for 7 days with Oij of proof spirit. Stimulant. Dose, tr^x to f3ss? [2 parts of this with 1 of the next form the Compound Tincture.] Tinctura Sumbuli Etherea. As the last, substituting spirit of sulphuric ether for rectified spirit. Dose, tt^x—xx. Tinctura Vetiverije. Vittie-vayr (roots of Andropogon muri- catum) ^j, proof spirit Oss. Dose, a teaspoonful; stimulant and sudorific. Tinctura Warburgii. Warburgh's Fever Drops. A secret remedy, said to be exactly imitated by the following: Aloes, zedoary, each 9ij, camphor, angelica root, each gr. ij, saffron gr. iij, proof spirit ^iij.
