    add nitric acid until a crystallized mass is obtained, wash this repeatedly with cold water, and press it between blotting paper. Neutralize by a solution of carbonate of potash in 3 parts of water, and evaporate to dryness. Treat the residue with alco- hol, and concentrate, that the urea may crystallize. Diuretic.
