PUERPERAL PYREXIA. There were 73 cases of puerperal pyrexia notified during the year compared with 75 during 1944. Eight deaths were registered from puerperal sepsis compared with 16 in the previous year. 40 cases were admitted to hospitals under the County Scheme and the services of consultants were utilised in 7 cases.
