![13 February 1970 Dr. ]. Paul The Beatson Institute for Cancer Research Royal Beatson Memorial Hospital 123 Hill Street Glasgow, C. 3 Scotland Dear John I am sorry not to have done something more promptly about a possible introduction to our report. After our last meeting J had to spend three days chairing a mee ting at Ciba. In the following week, no sooner had I caught up with my arrears than 1 had a visitor for two days and this week I went down with a bad cold and only returned to the lab yesterday. I enclose a draft for your consideration. I don't think it contains anything new but the tone is rather different from the previous draft. I have had to dash it off in rather a hurry and I haven't attempted at all to collate it with what was written before. Do feel free to modify it, add to it, slash it about or throw it away. F. H. C.
