About this work
Description
Francis Crick recalls his childhood and formative influences, his early interest in gene structure and gene replication and describes his dynamic partnership with James Watson at Cambridge during the 1950s. He considers that the brain sciences are the next frontier and talks about his current work at the Salk Institute, California, on the nature of consciousness and the mechanism of dreams. Using archive photographs, graphics, models and cinemicroscopy, the film examines one of the most significant periods in the history of science.
