Fast muscle fibres in zebrafish myotomes

Fast muscle fibres form the deep layers of muscle in the zebrafish myotomes. Fast fibres are stained green and their nuclei red..Fast fibres contract quickly but also tire quickly. In contrast slow fibres contract slowly but can keep going for a long time.
