    i] ‘the quickfilver entirely.---This is the common mer- _Curial ointment, which is ufed to raife a falivation - * by un&tion: : Yellow ocintmeni. Take of quickfilver, one ounce; of {trong fpirit — of nitre, two ounces ; digeft in a fand heat till the “mercury is diffolved; to which, while very hots ix a pound of {weet oil; and fir all well toge= ther, till the ointment is quite cold.---This oint- ment is particularly efficacious in removing tettes rous eruptions, ‘and all diforders of the fkin, c om Ointment for the leprafy. | ‘Take of the roots of fharp pointed dock, fout pounds; boil in eight pounds of mutton fuet ; Hlrongly prefs out the liquor; and add two pounds of tar, three pounds of fweet oil, and half a pound of brimftone; mix them together for ufe.~--An admirable ointment for the ufe its title expreffes.
