Ch.fruticulosus, leaves lanceolate acute hoary beneath, pube- scence all simple and close pressed, stem somewhat shrubby, branches angular, p. 202. 19. HESPERIS. Pod 4-sided or 2-edged. Stigma nearly sessile, with the lobes connivent. Cotyledons incumbent, plane. Cal. closed. 1. H. matronalis, stem erect, leaves ovato-lanceolate toothed, limb of the petals obovate, pods erect torulose their margins simple (not incrassated). p. 202. 20. BRASSICA.
