(32 and 33 Vio., No. 61.) nVoi may hr Rryixtrred.—Eveiy person possessed of any one or more of the following qualifications sliall bo entitled to be registered :—(«) Fellow, Member, Licentiate, or Extra Licentiate of the Royal College of Rhysicians, Loudon, England. (6) Fellow, Member, or Lieentiate, of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Scotland, (c) Fellow or Licentiate of the King’s and Queen’s College of Physicians of Dublin, Ireland, (c/) Fellow, or Member, or Licentiate in Midwifery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, (c) Fellow, or Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland. (./■) Fellow, or Licentiate of the Faculty of Physicians and Sui-geons, Glasgow, Scotland. (</) Fellow, or Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons of Dublin, Ireland. (//) Licentiate of the Society of Apothe- caries, London, England, (t) Licentiate of the Apothecaries’ Plall, Dublin, Ireland. (Z-) Doctor or Bachelor, or Licentiate of Medicine, or Master in Surgciy of any University of the United Kingdom of Grc.T.t Britain and Ireland, or Doctor of Medicine by Doctorate granted prior to August 2, 1868, by the Archbishop of Canteibuiy. (Z) A Medical Officer, duly qualified, of Her Majesty’s Land or Sea Service. (7») Any pemon rcgistci'cd before passing of this Act. (») Any person who has passed through a regular coui-se of medical study of not loss than thi’ee years’ duration in a school of medicine or surgeiy, and has received, after due examination, from some university, college, or other body, a diploma, degi ce, or license other than those before specified, entitling him to practise medicine or suigery, whether within Her Majesty’s dominions or not. (o) Any iierson who shall have been registered as a legally qualified Practitioner in England, Ireland, or Scotland, under any Act of the Imperial Parlia- ment. Notice of ApplieMfion.—Any person desiring to be registered shall give notice of his intention to ai)ply for that purpo.se to the Registrar-General, or Regi.strar in the towns of Auckland. New Plymouth, Napier, Nelson, Hokitika, Picton, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill, and shall state in such notice his residence, his qualifica- tion, and the date of his intended application, and that his dijiloma or other evidence of qualification is deposited for public inspection in the office of the Registrar-General or Registrar as the case may be, and shall affix to such notice his name in full. Puhliontion of Notice.—The diploma or other evidence of qualification shall be produced to the Registrar, and a copy thci'cof certified by a Ju.stice of the Peace shall be deposited as stated in the n{)ticc, and such notice shall be published in a newspaper circulating near the jdacc of the ajjplicant’s residence, at least one month before the date of his a|i])lication, and in the New Zealand Gazette. Iteyintrae to Art .fudicially.—The Registrar-General or Registrar may examine any pcison applying to be registered, and any oi)j)onent and any witness who may be l)r(xluced by either i»arty, and may require any statement to be made on oath, and for that inn|)ose may administer oaths, and if satisfied that such a])i)licant is qualified to be registered under this Act shall enter his name and other particulars in the Register, provided that the Registrar may, if he sec fit, in any case abstain from entering the name of such applicant and the p.articulars of his qualifications until after he shall have tran.sniittcd a cojiy of the same, and the evidence, if any, taken by him thereon, to the Registrar-General and received his direction thereon. Appeal fram lieyixtrar.— If any such applicant as aforesaid, or any person objecting and appearing before the Registrar-General or Registrar as aforesaid, shall be di.ssatisficd with the decision of the Registrar-General or Registrar, it shall be lawful for him re.spectivcly by motion in the Supreme Court to apply to such Court for an order to the Registrar-General or Registrar, and the Court may onlor that the person applying shall be registered, or that he shall be registered condilionally, or upon tenns, or may decline to make such or any order, with or without costs. l<een Payuhle. Ihe Registrar-General or Registi’ai' shall receive the under- mentioned fees : (rt) On deposit of diploma or other evidence of qualification, 20s.
