Description
Book of pharmaceutical receipts, including receipts for treatments for cancer, cholera, coughs, etc, as well as a remedy for the bite of a mad dog, 1829-1860. Includes a couple of medical accounts, such as the visit of a doctor to a drowned infant child at its home in Greenwich. Also contains cuttings of medical receipts from newspapers. Three quarters of the book is blank, the remaining quarter has been filled intermittently in a number of different hands. Some receipts are initialled.
