Deaths, o. .Six persons suffering from puerperal py^rexia were treated cither in the Chalmers Hos- ])ital, Banff, the Rose innes Hospital, Aberchirder, or the Turner ^Memorial Hospital, Keith. Puerperal Fever. Notifications, 3. Deaths, 2. Two cases were treated in the Chalmers Hospital, Banff. Influenzal Pneumonia and Pneumonia. Notifications, 136. Deaths from all forms of pneumonia, 43. 23 patients suffering from pneumonia were treated iii hospital. Dysentery. Notifications, 47. Deaths, o. The majority of cases of dysentery occurred either in the Burgh of Keith or in the immediate neighbourhood, where in recent y^ears this disease appears to have become endemic. Ophthalmia Neonatorum. Notifications, 2. Both cases were treated in the Chal- mers Hospital, Banff. There was no impairment of vision in cither case. Chickenpox. Notifications, 17. Deaths, o. Encephalitis Lethargica. Notifications, i. Deaths, i. One case of this disease was notified in Portgordon. Cerebro Spinal Meningitis. Notifications, 5. Deaths, 3. These cases of cerebro spinal meningitis occurred in three families in Buckie. The diagnosis of the disease was confirmed by' bacteriological ex- amination. One child died at home, i in the Campbell Hos- pital, and I in the City Hospital, Aberdeen. No special action was taken to deal with any other dis- eases. Supplies of diphtheria antitoxin for the use of Medical Practitioners are stocked in Banff, Portsoy, Buckie, Abercliirder, Keith, and Dufftown.
