The towns of the natives are ufually furrounded by trees, Szc. fnut up from re¬ ceiving the coding breeze ; a fituation pre¬ ferred by them, on account of the fecuritv it gives from fudden attacks, although its bane¬ ful effects are felt by themfelves, and proved, by the ficknefs, which every rainy feafbn pre¬ vails among them, and by the feeble emaciated bodies of their old men. That health may be retained in Africa, as well as in other parts of the w orld, when attention is paid to fituation, &c. appears proved by the inftance of Free Town.
