Connecting the disclaimer in the Colophon, as cited below, with the fact that throughout the volume there are ms. corrections, that a couplet omitted in a Hymn of Callimachus, printed here for the first time, is supplied by hand, and that on the last. page is an inscription, ‘‘ Amici dell’ Autore,” all in the same autograph, with the remains of a seal, it seems but a fair inference that this is one of the copies corrected by Politian himself for presentation to his friends. The volume is in the original binding, and inside of the boards are two leaves of an ANCIENT PSALTER, WITH MUSICAL NOTES, anterior to the use of the stave. Roscoe, in his Life of Lorenzo de Medici, speaking of the ‘‘ Miscellanea,” says that it was ‘first printed by Antonio Miscomini at Florence, with the following singular colophon :](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b33160193_0120.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
