    [ >4 ] of folitudc; for fome weeks together he fcarcely fpoke a word, and from a florid complexion became pale and wan. In about three months after this melancholy dejehiion took place, he was feized with a drivelling, which continued four or five days; during which time his fpeech was facilitated, his appetite mended, and he enjoyed a partial return of his wonted viva¬ city ; but no fooner did this difcharge’ leave him than he reverted to his for¬ mer gloomy and dejeded ftate.
