![\ [ 3® J a cure.’ In fome patients, this diforder is hereditary, and gives no notice of its acceffion; in others, it is confe- quential, and previous to the fit, there is a weight in the head, ftupidity, pain in the joints, lofs of memory, broken and interrupted lleep, tingling in the ears, frequent yawning, unufual dread, palpitation of the heart, wind and rum¬ bling in phe belly, and involuntary ftools. The fit is ufu^lly attended with a deprivation of the fenfes, gnafhing of the teeth, frothing at the mouthi fometinaes the tongue is bit almof]: afunder, and there is a violent tremor and agitation of the whole body.
