![6th DAY. 7th DAY. 8th Day. oth Day. 14th Day 16thDay i7thDAay 24 EPIDEMI@GS, the fifth day in the morning, a deafnefs came on, and all the fymptoms were aggravated... The fpleen appeared much {welled, and there was a great diftenfion of the hypochondria. The evacuations by ftool were few. and. black, and he was delirious. On the fixth the delirium. continued, and in the night a fweat broke out. He was however cold, and the delirium ftill remained. On the feventh the extremities were very cold, and he became thirfty, but was {till delirious. In the night his reafon returned, and he flept. On the eighth he had much fever, the fpleen fubfided, and he became more reafonable. He complained of a pain in his groin, anda tumour appeared in the direGtion of the fpleen, and after- wards the pain pafled into both thighs. He had a good night, the urine was of a good colour, and there was a {mall fediment. On the ninth he fweat, and a crifis was made, the fever beginning to go off or intermit. On the fifth it re- turned again, and the f{pleen was tumified: The fever was violent, and the deafnefs acceded. On the third day after the relapfe the fpleen was reduced, and the deafnefs was lef- fened. The pain again feized upon the limbs. In the night he fweat, and afterwards on the feventeenth day the crifis was made again. He was not delirious during the τε]αρίς, CNS ο ας IV.
