In the previous year the deaths amounted to 70 and the death rate was .60. The previous table includes three non-notified deaths. In two cases the death was certihed by the Coroner after post-mortem examination. The non-notihed deaths accordingly numbered 1, or 1.49 per cent, of the total of 67 deaths from Tuber- culosis. The hnst intimation received concerning this case was from the deaths returns, and the attention of the private practitioner concerned was called to his omis- sion ; notification is therefore ])erfornied very com- ])letely.
