TO THE MAYOR, ARDERMEN AND COUNCILLORS OF THE COUNTY BOROUGH OF BOURNEMOUTH. Mr. Mayor, Ladies and Gentlemen, I have the honour to present my Annual Report on the health of Bournemouth in 1934. The year was remarkable for the long spell of fine weather and deficient rainfall. The latter did not embarrass the majority of residents or visitors as the two water companies continued to provide a constant and adequate supply of pure water. A small number of householders who depend on wells for all purposes did, however, experience considerable difiicult}^ The general health of the community was excellent, a statement which is confirmed by the vital statistics which are of some interest. The birth rate was, with the exception of the year 1929, the lowest on record.
