![[ 184]. Like Manner for a Few days longer, will Intirely Clear the Inteftines of Them, The Dofe is to be Increafed, or Diminifh- ed, in Proportion to the Age. Putvis ÁNTILYSSUS. A Powper againft the Birz of a Map Doc. Take Half an Ounce of Afh-coloured Ground-Liverwort, and Two Drams of Black-Pepper. Beat Them together into a Powder. This Powder was inferted in the Lon- don Pharmacopcea in the Year 1721, at the Defire of Dr. MrAp; whofe Method of Giving it, as Set down in his Mecha- nical Account of Poifons, is This, viz. The Patient muft be Blooded at the Arm Nine or Ten Ounces; and, This Powder being Divided into Four Dofes, : One of Them muft be Taken Every Morning, Fafting, for Four Mornings Succeffively, in Half a Pint of Cow's- Milk, Warm. After Thefe Four Dofes are Taken, the Patient muft go into the Cold Bath, or a ColdSpring, or River, Every Morning Fafting for a Month.
