Take Sorrel, Brooklime, Water- Cref- fes, and Garden Scurvygrafs; of Each Three Handfuls ; Roots of Elecampane, Blue Flower-de-luce, and Horfe-Radith, of Each an Ounce and a Half; an Ounce of Scurvy-grafs-Seed; and Two Quarts - of White-Wine. Let All Digeft Two Days together. Then Prefs out hard for Settling and Ufe. This Preparation, being of a very Scouring and Deterfive Nature, is in an Efpecial Manner Devoted to the Relief of Scorbutic Diforders. Taken in Spring- time, when the Ingredients .are in their Full Force and Vigour, it may Break and Divide Whatever Preternatural Cohefions of the Blood may happen to Obftru& the Glands ; and, by Reftoring the Mafs to a Due State of Fluidity, Obviate Thofe Fe- verifh Difpofitions, which Naturally Arife from Any Impediment and Bar Put to the Neceffary Secretions.
