    XCAR O16 COLLECTION of CURIOS, Daluable Autograph Letters and Relics of Celebrities, &ec. On FRIDAY, 10TH or JULY, 1908, At 12 o'clock precisely. CONDITIONS OF SALE. 1 lhe highest bidder shall be the purchaser, and no person shall retract a bidding; and, should any dispute arise between two or more bidders, the Lot in dispute shall be offered again or not at the-discretion of the Auctioneer, who is to be the sole arbitrator of any matter in dispute during the Sale, and who also reserves the right of refusing any bidding and of withdrawing any Lots from tbe Saie. The vendors reserve the Tight to bid. ; : 2. No person to advance less than 6d. at each bidding; above eleven shillings, ls.; above five pounds, 2s. 6d., and so on, in proportion; or less at the discretion.of tne Auctioneer. The Auctioneers will use their discretion as to the acceptance of cheques, as in the ordinary course drafts must be cleared before the delivery of Goods, 3. The purchaser shall give in his name and address ; and, if required, pay a deposit of 5s. in the pound in part, or the whole of the purchase-money. ‘Ihe deposit paid by the purchaser on any Lot shall be reckoned as a deposit on each and all of the Lots booked in his name, 4. The Auctioneers do not guarantee the title to any Lot or Lots sold by them, and will not be responsible for any defect in such title. 5. The Lots must be taken away with all faults, imperfections, or errors of deecription (excepting such as are evidently hidden and unperceivable), at the purchaser’s expense, within one week from the day of Sale3 and the remainder of the purchase-money to be paid before the delivery or handing the same over to the purchaser, in default of which the Auctioneers will not hold themselves responsible if the Lot or Lots be lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed, but they will be left at the sole risk of the purchaser. The Auctioneers neither consider themselves answerable for the correct description of any Lot, nor do they guarantee the maker; and, as a month is a sufficient time for purchasers to examine and test the property, no purchaser shall, after the expiration of onemonth from the day of Sale, be at liberty to rescind the purchase of any Lot, or claim compensation by reason of any fauit, imperfection, or error in description (whether patent or not), or of the Lot being an imitation only, or not of the material, or otherwise not the thing stated. Should a case arise on which an allowance is deemed necessary by the Auctioneer, he shail be at liberty either to retain the Lot or make such allowance, computing the same at the rate the Lot was sold for at the auction, In cases where one buyer purchases more than one Lot, the whole of the account of all the Lots purchased is to be paid for before any one Lot is delivered. 6 In the event of any purchaser at this Sale neglecting to pay for and take away any Lot or Lots he or she may have purchased, and the same remaining for a longer period than one week from the date of Sale, such pur- chaser, in addition to tle amount of the purchase-money, shall, upon each Lot so left, pay one shilling per week for warehouse room, and also five per cent. per annum interest on the amount of the said purchase- money—the same to ce reckoned from the-day of Sale to the time of clearing or re-sale, Lestly. Upon default in compliance with any of the above Conditions, the deposit money, if any shall have been paid, will be forfeited, and the Auctioneers shall be at liberty to re-sell the Lots as to which such default shall be made, at the purchaser's expense, either by public Sale or private contract; but without prejudice to the right of the Auctioneers enforcing the contract made at this Sale; and the deficiency (if .any) by such second Sale, together with all unterest, ware-room, and charges attending the same, shall be tmade good by the defaulter or detaulters at this Sale.
