The so-called 6th ed. of this title, published earlier in 1825, is in fact a reissue with t.p. added of unsold copies of 'The straggling astrologer', a weekly periodical published by Wright 3 June-30 Oct. 1824 with Smith as editor from late July (see Periodl. Suppl.)

The present ed. contains material from the earlier work but rearranged and with substantial additions.
