    The widening scope of corneal surgery is reflected in the increasing number of corneal grafts, penetrating and lamellar, and of keratec¬ tomies being performed. Tattooing, however, still finds a place in the treatment of corneal opacities. The possibility of some amelioration of retinitis pigmentosa by the use of placental grafts is being investigated by several surgeons. Conclusive results are awaited with interest. HENRY E. HOBBS,
