Use externally for cutaneous diseases. No. 46. BLUE COHOSH. The Rhizome and Rootlets of Canlophyllum Thalictroides. Natural Order.—Berberidaceae. Habitat.—North America (Southern part). Common Names.—Squaw Root, Papoose Root. Active Constituent.—Resinous extractive. The medicinl virtue ascribed to this root is that of an eni- menagoue, antispasmodic and diuretic.
