No doubt a good many of them have even more covering over their heads in the form of a thatched roof, or something like that, and that is an important point, for goats should always be protected from dampness. It ig ‘true that they may get wet when out -grazing in the -rain, but their quarters should be located in a place where there ds good drainage—-a place that is high and dry. Dampness in the living quarters brings on colds and these may later on develop into pneumonia, one of the few diseases to which goats are quite susceptible. It is very important, then, that the floors, especially, but also the sides or walls of the quarters, be kept as free from dampness as possible.
