![Act to apply to all Uuder- takiiigs authorized by Acts hereafter to be passed. Interpre- tations in this Act: special Act: pre- scribed :' the Works; acquisition of lands required for undertakings or works of a public nature, and to the compensation to be made for the same, and that as well for the pui-pose of avoiding the necessity of repeating such pro- visions in each of the several Acts relating to such undertakings as for ensuring greater uniformity in the provisions themselves: May it therefore j^lease your Majesty that it may be enacted; and be it enacted by the Queen's most excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords spiritual and temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same. That this Act shall apply to every undertaking authorized by any Act which shall hereafter be passed, and which shall authorize the purchase or taking of lands for such imdertaking, and this Act shall be incorporated with such Act; and all the clauses and provisions of this Act, save so far as they shall be expressly varied or excepted by any such Act, shall apply to the undertaking authorized thereby, so far as the same shall be apj^licable to such undertaking, and shall, as well as the clauses and provisions of every other Act which shall be incorporated with such Act, form part of such Act, and be construed, together therewith, as forming one Act. And with respect to the construction of this Act and of Acts to be incorporated therewith, be it enacted as follows :— Section 2. The expression the special Act, used in this Act, shall be construed to mean any Act whicli shall be hereafter passed which shall authorize the taking of lands for the undertaking to which the same relates, and with which this Act shall be so incorporated as aforesaid ; and the Avord prescribed, used in this Act in reference to any matter herein stated, shall be construed to refer to such matter as the same shall be prescribed or provided for in the special Act, and the sentence in which such word shall occur shall be construed as if, instead of the woid prescribed, the expression prescribed for that purpose in the special Act had been used; and the expression the works or the undertaking shall mean the works or undertaking, of whatever nature, which shall by the sjoecialAct be authorized to be purchase and taking of lands, and for that purpose to be deemed to form part of' that Part of the Act iu the same maimer as if they wore enacted in the body thereof. See Section 20 of the Act. For the purchase of obstructive buildings under Part II. of the Act, the provisions of these Acts with respect to the purchase and taking of lands otherwise than by agreement are to be deemed to be incorporated with that Part of the Act, subject to the provisions of that Part. See Section 38 (4). ]\Ioreover, orders of the Local Government Board sanctioning schemes for reconstruction under Part II. of the Act may incorporate the pro^^- sions of these Acts. Sec Section 39 (7). And for the purposes of Part III. of the Act laud may bo acriiL red by a local authority iu like manner as if those pm- IDOses were jmrpoaes of j'le Public Health Act, 1875, and Section 176 of the last- mentioned Act, which incorporates the Lands Clauses Consolidation Acts, 1845, 1860, and 1869, is to appl)' accordingly. See Section 57 (1). These Acts therefore apply with varying modifications to the acquisition of lands for the purposes of Parts I., II., and III. of the Act.
