Under the Midwives Rules a Midwife has to notify any discharge from the eye however slight. 24 notifications of dis- charge from the eye were received, 13 of which were subsequently notified by Medical Practitioners as cases of Ophthalmia Neona- torum. In the course of time this measure should lead to a consideration reduction in the mirnber of blind persons. Orthopcedic Treatment.
