![]S It was not necessary to take any action under the Public Health Act (Prevention of Tuberculosis Regulations) 1925, or under Section 172 of the Public Health Act, 1936. CONCLUSION. Despite the relatively good progress made by the Council with their Housing Programme, lack of proper accommodation remains the most serious problem in the district. A large number of families continue to live under most unsatisfactory conditions and will have to continue to do so for some considerable period of time, unless some method can be found of accelerating the erection of new houses. There is little doubt that many domestic problems and much Ill-health, physical and mental, would not arise if these families had a proper home to themselves. I should like to thank the Chairman and Members of the Council and all Officials for their help and co-operation during the year. I am, Gentlemen, Your obedient servant, R. W.
