A short account of the establishment of the new see of Baltimore in Maryland, and of consecrating the Right Rev. Dr. John Carroll first bishop thereof on the feast of the assumption, 1790 . With a discourse delivered on that occasion, and the authority for consecrating the bishop, and erecting and administering the said see. To which are added extracts from the different bills of right and constitution of the United States,-that liberty of conscience is the birth-right of every man, and an exclusion of any religious test for ever.
