A Woman in Long--Acre had fcorbutical Eruptions to a great Degree, all over her Body in red Spots: Her Right-arm, from her Elbow to her Wrift, was fwelled almofl: as big as aMan’sThigh, and had a vaftNum* ber of Holes in it, big enough to contain Peas: Her Fingers were much fwelled; and fhe was in exceffive Pain Night and Day, She had been falivated, but grew worfe in- ftead of better. For her Arm I ordered a common Poultice, and gave her my volatile Salt dilTolved in Rain-Water diftilled, Four or Five times in a Day, a Tea-fpoonful at a time; and in a fhort Time her Health was reftored. With this volatile Salt I have cured inve¬ terate Poxes of a very long ftanding. By what I have feen and obferved in Con- fumptions, I believe, if the Patients are not too far gone^ they may be cured by this vo¬ latile Salt diffolved in Rain-Water, and by getting into the Air at the fame time, as I have experienced in feveralconfumptive Pa¬ tients. This Diftemper jis frequently fym- ■ptomatical. Milk is oftentimes ufed impro¬ perly.](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b30784955_0001_0028.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
