![Vinum Aromaticxini. A. Any aromatic lierb 1, water 2, red wine 8. Macerate 8 days, then press and filter. C. Vulnerary alcoholature 125, red wine 875. Vinum Aurantii. N.P. Oil of bitter orange 1 fl. pt., alcohol (94 per cent.) 10 fl. pts., purified talcum 15, slierry q. s. to produce 1000 fl. pts. Triturate the talcum first with alcohol in which orange oil has been dissolved, and then with 750 of sherry gradually added. Filter bright, and wash filter with more sherry to make up to 1000 fl. pts. iTinum Aurantii Compositum. N.F. See Ulixir Au- rantii Compositum. Ph.G. Vinum Aurantii Detannatum. B.P.C. Orange wine 1 gallon, gelatin cut small ^ oz. Macerate 14 days and decant. Vinum Buchu. C. Like Vinum Cahimhce. C. Vinum Calumbee. C. Vinum de Chasmenthera palmata, Calumba root 3, Grenaohe wine 100. Macerate the coarsely powdered root for 10 days in tbe wine, strain, press, and filter. Vinum Camphoratum. Ph.G. Camphor 1, alcohol (90 per cent.) 1. Dissolve and shake with mucilage of acacia 3, white wine 45. Vinum Carnis. N.P. Extract of beef 35, hot water 60 il. pts., sherry to produce 1000 fl. pts. Pour the hot water on extract in mortar, rub until a smooth mixture results, then gradually add 900 sherry; set aside in cool place, filter, and wash through filter to obtain 1000 fl. pts. Each fl. drachm contains 2 grains extract of beef. N.B. By the Excise regulations this wine cannot be sold in the United Kingdom without a wine licence. Vinum Carnis et Perri. ]^.F. Extract of beef 85, tincture of citrochloride of iron 35 fl. pts., hot water 60 fl. pts., sherry to produce 1000 fl. pts. Pour hot water on heef extract, rub until smooth, gradually add 800 sherry, then add the tincture and sherry to make volume 1000. Set aside in cool place, filter, and wash through filter with more wine to 1000 fl. pts. Each fl. dr. = 2 grains extract of beef, 2 mins. tincture of citrochloride of iron. Vinum Carnis, Perri, et Cinchonse. X.F.
